Dr. Thrasher joined Western Kentucky University in 2008 as an Assistant Professor of Information Systems and has since served in a variety of leadership, teaching, and administrative roles within the Gordon Ford College of Business. She was an Associate Professor of Information Systems from 2013 to 2019 and has been a Professor of Analytics and Information Systems since 2019.
Throughout her tenure, Dr. Thrasher has demonstrated a strong commitment to leadership development and experiential learning. She served as Director of the Professional Education and Knowledge (PEAK) Program from 2015 to 2018 and as the Knicely Faculty Fellow in Leadership from 2015 to 2019. Most recently, she served as Senior Associate Dean for Faculty and Administration from 2019 to 2023, followed by a term as Interim Dean from 2023 to 2024.
Dr. Thrasher is actively engaged in both the academic profession and the Bowling Green community. She currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Southern Business Administration Association and is Vice Chair of the Board of Directors of HOTEL INC, where she supports the organization’s mission to address homelessness and housing instability in the region.
Prior to joining WKU, Dr. Thrasher was a faculty member at the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth from 2005 to 2008. She began her professional career as a systems analyst with Eastman Chemical Company in Tennessee, bringing valuable industry experience to her academic and leadership work.
