WKU Global Learning and International Affairs presents Unveiling of the Alif Ba
- Global Learning and International Affairs
- Thursday, April 14th, 2022

On April 21 at 2 p.m., WKU Global Learning and International Affairs (GLIA) and Qatar American Institute for Culture (QAIC) present the Unveiling of the Alif Ba in the lobby of the Honors College and International Center (HCIC).
This event will feature a ribbon cutting for the Alif Ba, an interactive Arabic alphabet exhibit with sound and olfactory components. The Alif Ba was commissioned to WKU by QAIC to provide our students and community with an experiential introduction to the Arabic alphabet. This exhibit is on temporary loan to WKU from the National Children’s Museum and the 28 Arabic letters will be on display for six weeks in the HCIC lobby.
WKU proudly welcomes a QAIC delegation to officially open the Alif Ba on campus and to celebrate Arabic culture and language. In addition to the unveiling of the Alif Ba, the QAIC delegation will have the opportunity meet with President Timothy C. Caboni, tour the Kentucky Museum, meet with various students and enjoy an Iftar dinner after sundown in observance of Ramadan.
