February. What a month of weather here in Kentucky! The state was hit by multiple winter storms before experiencing widespread flooding. On Thursday (March 4), the State Climate Office for Kentucky, a division of the Kentucky Climate Center at WKU, hosted its Kentucky Monthly Climate Perspective on Drought and Hydrologic Conditions webinar. The webinar provides a summary of recent weather and climate conditions, associated impacts, and outlooks for the coming month and season. If you missed this month’s webinar, you can still view it on the Kentucky Climate Center’s YouTube channel at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZDCfGpobyYs&t=179s.
The Kentucky Monthly Climate Perspective on Drought and Hydrologic Conditions webinar is hosted on the first Thursday of every month at 1 p.m. Central time (2 p.m. Eastern time) by the Kentucky Climate Center in conjunction with the Midwestern Drought Early Warning System. If you would like to participate in future webinars, send an email to kyclimate@wku.edu with the words Monthly Webinar in the subject line.
