First Gen Living Learning Community
The F1RST Gen Living Learning Community is designed for first year, first generation
college students who are still exploring their academic and career interests. If neither
of your parents or guardians has earned a bachelor's degree from a U.S. college or
university, you are a first generation college student - and you belong here!
Nearly one-third of WKU students are first gen, supported by a strong network of faculty,
staff, and alumni who have walked the same path.
This LLC provides a supportive environment to help you discover your strengths, explore
potential majors, and connect your academic choices to future careers. Through shared
courses, career coaching, and community-building activities, you'll gain the tools
and confidence to make informed decisions about your academic direction and long-term
goals.
