Bio
Dr. Alexander is an Assistant Professor of Nursing in the School of Nursing at WKU and currently teaches in the Pre-Licensure BSN Program. She previously graduated from WKU with the following degrees: Post-Master Certificate in Family Nurse Practitioner, Doctor of Nursing Practice, Master of Science in Nursing Education, Bachelor of Science in Nursing, and Associate of Science in Nursing.
Her teaching career began in 2007 as an instructor of Nursing in the Kentucky Community & Technical College System (KCTCS). In 2009, She began teaching at Western Kentucky University in the Associate of Nursing program. She began teaching in the RN to BSN program in 2012, then transitioned to the Pre-Licensure BSN Program.
Prior to teaching, Dr. Alexander worked as a registered nurse in ambulatory surgery, newborn nursery, emergency, and medical-surgical nursing. Dr. Alexander currently works part time as a Family Nurse Practitioner in the community.
