Information for Testers

DEADLINE FOR SUBMITTING FINALS WEEK SARC TEST REQUESTS: Mon. 11/24 @ 12:00pm/NOONThank you to those who’ve already submitted Final Exam requests to our office. We strive to provide an efficient process for those of you requesting to take exams in our office. This process works when students submit requests in a timely manner, so that we can add you to our testing schedule, forward your request on to your faculty/instructors, and be prepared with your exam and faculty instructions for test administration. We will be closing the request to submit Final Exam requests (for students wanting to take final exams in the SARC office), at 12:00pm/Noon on Monday, Nov. 24th).·      As you will recall, throughout the semester, student test requests require at least a 5-business day submission.      Due to the volume of SARC students we accommodate during Finals Week, and the limited space in the SARC office, we have traditionally set a cut-off for Finals Week requests.Mon. 11/24 is the cut-off date.    If you have not already submitted your Finals Week (Fri. 12/5– Thur. 12/11) exam requests (and do not by 12:00pm/Noon on Mon. 11/24), we are instructing you to work directly with your Faculty to meet your testing accommodations.REMINDER: Even if you have testing accommodations with our office, you do not have to take exams in the SARC office if your testing accommodations can be provided by your faculty/instructors. If you schedule an exam for Finals Week – and need to cancel – we respectfully ask that you contact our office to let us know.Best wishes for a successful conclusion to theFall 2025 semester! The SARC team

Reminder: Notify the professor of your accommodations using the Faculty Notification Letter (FNL). This should be done at least seven (5) days prior to requesting a testing appointment.

Scheduling the exam: Requests to test in the SARC must be made at least (5) business days prior to exam. The SARC processes requests Monday-Friday from 8:00am-4:30pm excluding evenings, weekends and University recognized holidays. The SARC advises that students wishing to test outside of these parameters make alternative arrangements with their Professor.

Additionally, students should request the same date and time scheduled for the class, unless (1) an extended time accommodation would interfere with their class schedule, (2) the scheduled class time is outside of the SARC's office hours, or (3) explicit permission is given by the Instructor and/or the SARC.

Testing Window: Accommodated testing is conducted during University operating hours between 8:00am-4:30pm. We recommend that any test expected to go beyond 4:30pm be scheduled at a different date and/or time in the SARC or the Professor can arrange for the student to take the test with the accommodations in an alternative location.

At the time of the exam: The student will come to DSU 1074. Students must be on time and bring with them the necessary materials (e.g. scantron, blue book, writing utensil, calculator).

During the exam: Cell phones, electronic devices, and other personal and/or unapproved items are not allowed in the testing area. To ensure academic integrity, the possession of any item other than those approved by the instructor will result in the termination of the exam.

About Testing Materials: All instructions, content, and scoring, as well as any other matters related to the exam, must be discussed with your faculty. Please, seek clarification about the exam materials outside your scheduled testing appointment (before the appointment or after the completion of the exam).

You may request to take your exam in the SARC office.
