We have reduced the rate of graduate education for In-state and Border-state licensed educators to $350/credit hour for the 2020 - 2030 academic year.

Who is Eligible?

In-State Residents
Legal residents of Kentucky who hold a current Kentucky Educator License issued by the Education Professional Standards Board (EPSB).
Border State Residents
Legal residents of a bordering state* who hold a current Educator License issued by their respective State Department of Education.
*Illinois, Indiana, Missouri, Ohio, Tennessee, Virginia, & West Virginia.
Requirement Warning
Eligibility REQUIRES submission of a current teaching certificate (Educator License) to the Graduate School. Students who do not submit the certificate will not receive the discounted rate. Students must upload a Teaching Certificate for each application on file.

Apply to Graduate School
Your first action is to complete the main application through The WKU Graduate School and review their admission requirements. First-time students new to WKU may apply to the Graduate School to enroll as either a degree-seeking or non-degree seeking student.
Start Your WKU Graduate ApplicationSubmit Teaching Certificate
Submit your current EPSB issued Teaching Certificate to the Graduate School.
Email certificate to graduate.school@wku.edu
Request confirmation that the discount will be applied to your account.
Confirm File Status
Ensure your certificate is active and on file.
