WKU Co-Teaching

Thank you for agreeing to supervise a WKU student teacher. Per Kentucky Regulations 16 KAR 5:040, cooperating teachers and university supervisors must complete training on their basic responsibilities prior to supervising a student teacher.

The training is composed of three parts (A, B, and C), which are detailed below.

Required Training Steps

This online training and assessment is provided by the KY Department of Education’s Office of Educator Licensure and Effectiveness (OELE).

Part B is a training video designed to prepare you for your supervisory role. After watching the video, you must send an email to sarah.fischer@wku.edu to confirm completion.
