WKU Co-Teaching
Thank you for agreeing to supervise a WKU student teacher. Per Kentucky Regulations 16 KAR 5:040, cooperating teachers and university supervisors must complete training on their basic responsibilities prior to supervising a student teacher.
The training is composed of three parts (A, B, and C), which are detailed below.
Important Notice for Cooperating Teachers
Effective July 1, 2019: If you passed the Part A training via Edmodo before July 1, 2019, you are not required to take the new assessment in iDrive Digital.

Required Training Steps
This online training and assessment is provided by the KY Department of Education’s Office of Educator Licensure and Effectiveness (OELE).
Part B is a training video designed to prepare you for your supervisory role. After watching the video, you must send an email to sarah.fischer@wku.edu to confirm completion.
