The Museum follows the WKU calendar and is open to the public Wednesday through Saturday 9AM-4PM*.
Individual visitors are welcome for self-guided visits on Wednesday through Saturday. ALL GROUPS must complete online reservation requests forms.

Abound Credit Union Celebration of the Arts
This competitive exhibition is open to all residents 18 years of age or older, living in Kentucky within a 65-mile radius of the Kentucky Museum. The exhibition is located at the Kentucky Museum. Learn more and register online here.

Folklorist Dr. Erika Brady will be joined by noted fellow bluegrass musicians to discuss the special role of jams in the history and current state of the music here in our region - the place where bluegrass began. If we are lucky, they may even break out the instruments and showcase how it’s done! Free program- learn more here.

The Kentucky Arts Council, the state arts agency, provides travel reimbursement funds to Kentucky schools for field trips to the Kentucky Museum with state tax dollars and federal funding from the National Endowment for the Arts.

The 2025-26 academic year will bring a melody of America250 programming to the Museum - from our first-ever Music Fest to guest speakers, film screenings, and more.
