Five Gatton Academy students traveled to Alberta, Canada to compete in the National Conservation Foundation’s International Envirothon Competition in July. They finished 11th out of 51 teams from the U.S., Canada, and China.

The Gatton Academy of Mathematics and Science in Kentucky recently recognized 30 educators from across the Commonwealth for their support of high ability students. The educators were recognized at the program’s May 10 Commencement in Van Meter Hall.

On Saturday, May 10, The Gatton Academy of Mathematics and Science graduated 83 students from across Kentucky in their eighteenth graduating class. The ceremony took place at Van Meter Hall and was broadcast online for friends and family to enjoy.

The James Clark Memorial Makerspace was on Friday, February 7th, 2025 in honor of James Clark, a member of the Gatton Academy Class of 2025. The space provides a permanent reflection of his love of tinkering, creating, and working with his hands.

Sixteen students from The Gatton Academy of Mathematics and Science at Western Kentucky University presented their research at the Kentucky Junior Academy of Science meeting. Eight were selected to represent Kentucky at AJAS.
