Position Summary:

The Assistant Director of Strategic Operations is responsible for data analysis and trend identification, division reporting visualization and forecasting, division budget support and project management as needed. This position will guide the division's Data Governance workgroup to review any potential updates of database standards to reflect best practices in constituent relations. The success of this position will require the ability to work independently to constantly evaluate, create and maintain quality reporting, forecasting and analytical support for the division that will provide quantitative data-driven results for optimal decision-making. Being able to utilize the Advance database, Infoview, Tableau and other reporting tools is critical to the success of the Assistant Director in this role. This position is also responsible for assessing and strengthening current business processes and establishing new analytical, reporting, and forecasting practices.

• Assist others on the team and/or across the division on special projects to support the division needs as necessary.

Overview

Upward Bound at WKU is a TRIO program funded by the U.S. Department of Education. The program provides motivational, educational, and enrichment opportunities to potential first-generation and low-income high school students from Allen, Butler, Edmonson, Hart, and Logan counties (including Russellville Independent School District).

The mission of Upward Bound is to prepare students for success in postsecondary education. The Academic Coordinator, Budget Manager plays a key role in supporting this mission by coordinating academic and enrichment programming, managing office operations, maintaining fiscal compliance, and ensuring smooth day-to-day program operations.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

Academic Coordinator

• Provide academic guidance, mentorship, and advisement to first-generation and low-income participants.
• Conduct workshops and one-on-one sessions on study skills, goal setting, test preparation, college admissions, financial aid, and career planning.
• Collaborate with school personnel and parents/guardians to monitor student progress and promote academic success.

Western Kentucky University (WKU) invites applications for a full-time, tenure-eligible, nine-month faculty appointment at the rank of  Assistant, Associate, or Professor of Behavior Analysis to support the development and launch of a new Behavior Analysis program within the College of Education and Behavioral Sciences. This position offers an opportunity to play a key role in designing a high-quality academic program that integrates research, teaching, and community engagement to meet the growing demand for Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs).

The successful candidate will join a collaborative, student-centered faculty committed to evidence-based practice, interdisciplinary partnership, and preparing professionals to serve individuals with developmental and behavioral needs across diverse settings. 

Primary responsibilities:

• Provide leadership in curriculum development, accreditation, and implementation of the new Behavior Analysis program
• Teach graduate courses in applied behavior analysis and undergraduate courses in behavior
• Establish and sustain a robust research and publication agenda, including pursuit of external funding
• Supervise student fieldwork and practicum experiences in accordance with BACB standards
• Advise and mentor students to foster academic and professional growth
• Engage in service to the department, college, university, and professional community

• PhD or equivalent terminal degree in Applied Behavior Analysis, Psychology, Special Education, or closely related field (ABD considered if degree completion by date of hire)
• Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) or eligibility for certification within one year of appointment
• Additional qualifications for each rank are as follows:
  • Assistant Professor: Candidate is expected to demonstrate potential for excellence in teaching and have an active and productive program of scholarly research.  
  • Associate Professor: Candidate must have 6+ years experience in higher education, demonstrate excellence in teaching graduate and undergraduate courses, evidence of sustained scholarly activity including publications and presentations, and a record of service to the institution and profession.  
  • Full Professor: Candidate must have earned tenure at another institution, have 12+ years experience in higher education, demonstrate excellence in teaching graduate and undergraduate courses, evidence of sustained scholarly activity including publications and presentations, and a record of service to the institution and profession.

This 10-month, tenure-eligible, faculty position requires an innovative and user-centered problem solver ready to join our collaborative environment and enhance library services. The Electronic Resources Librarian is a key contributor to the work required in the life cycle of WKU's licensed scholarly electronic resources, ensuring ongoing access through existing and newly envisioned technologies in support of teaching, learning, and research. This position will assist in the daily tasks associated with acquiring and managing electronic resources and contribute to efforts to create efficiencies and improve service to library users.

• A Master's degree in Library and Information Science from an ALA-accredited program.
• A minimum of two years of relevant experience.
• Demonstrated knowledge of electronic resource industry standards, best practices, and protocols.
• Demonstrated ability to work both independently and in a highly collaborative setting, document and solve problems in a timely manner, and prioritize multiple projects.
• Demonstrated proficiency with library software (Alma, SpringShare, etc.) and the ability to adapt to new technologies as they evolve.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with an ability to maintain effective relationships with faculty, staff, students, administrators, and other key stakeholders

The Department of Political Science at Western Kentucky University (WKU) invites applications for a nine-month, tenure- eligible, Political Science faculty appointment at the rank of Assistant Professor beginning August 2026. The Department of Political Science is home to undergraduate majors in Political Science, International Affairs, Professional Legal Studies, Philosophy, and Legal Studies. The department also offers a Master of Public Administration.

Successful candidates will be able to teach courses in public law, judicial politics and constitutional law in our Political Science and Legal Studies programs.
